Target Master .22 LR Conversion Unit for the 5.56mm (.223 REM) AR-15/M16 Style Rifles
This Unit comes with 2 Black Dog Machine Sonic Weld Magazines. You can choose the capacity of magazine and the type of feed lip. Options are "NY" for Nylon feed lip or "SS" for Stainless Steel feed lip. The only difference between the two is the material they are made of and price difference. This is just a personal preference option.
The conversion unit allows the use of .22 long-rifle ammunition in lieu of the more expensive full power 5.56mm ammunition. The Target Master conversion unit is designed to replace the standard bolt group without any permanent modifications to the weapon. It will not change the appearance, feel, weight, or handling; nor will it affect the performance or operating procedures when utilized in a semi-automatic mode. The unit is made from high-quality US steel with a black oxide finish

This conversion kit is perfect for those in restricted states who want to change out their AR to use less expensive .22LR ammo! The Black Dog Machine 15-round mags are perfect for NJ - I bought several extra as well. The conversion kit runs flawlessly in my Spike 14.5" Midlength AR as well as my Spikes/BCM 16". Both have lightened trigger/hammer springs (JP springs) and both perform flawlessly.
Iffy at first, but fully satisfied.

I picked this guy up when a friend convinced me a full size AR with a conversion was a good idea. I shopped around and this was, by far, the least expensive. That was a relief but worrysome at the same time but I took a chance anyway. After I got it out of the box I cleaned it up and oiled it. I ran a few mags through it with a few hang ups but, after I gave it another thorough clean and oil, I ran through another 100 rounds with no problem. If you are having second thoughts, don't. Also, it came in less than a week after I ordered it!

I've used the Target Master in a number of my test uppers both conversions and dedicated 22 applications. It in combination with BDM Magazines has performed flawlessly... Great products...
