All black dog drums are plug and play for semi-auto use. We do not guarantee that the drum will work in full-auto setups. However, many customers report that with a little fine tuning they can get the drum to work in full-auto
Recommended Ammunition: Federal, CCI/Blazer, American Eagle. Use a round nosed bullet. Stay away from hollow points. Ammunition not listed will not feed well in our products.
Black dummy rounds: The plastic black dummy rounds are an important part of the drum assembly. They feed the ammo from the drum body to the tower. BDM does not recommend using dummy rounds as real bullets.
Clear rubber bands: Each drum is assembled with one clear rubber band and two extra bands taped to the inside of the drum box.
Spring Tension: If you come across feeding issues, the drum spring may be too tight causing ammo to rush up and out the tower. You may also have feeding issues if the spring is too loose. Spring tension may also be required to adjust to your rifle’s bolt speed. The manual provided will guide you through disassembly & assembly. The manual is also available as a PDF on our website.
Winding Rotor: Pulling the rotor counter clockwise and letting go will most likely damage the drum. It can cause the internal followers to break.
AWESOME DRUM FOR SURE!!!!

This drum can't be beat !
Super easy to load & worked flawlessly straight out of the box. Fed 50 CCI mini-mags thru my M&P 15-22 without any issues.
Will definitely order another one when they're back in stock.
Only downside is the current shortage of .22 ammo & this drum makes you go through it in a hurry!

This is a very good drum and I am very happy with my purchase . On the backside of the drum it has a built in load assit that you turn counter clockwise while loading so no sore thumbs at all. No FTF or FTE issues with this drum. One thing tho makesure before u put it in your M&P to makesure the top bullet is back in place otherwise it will not allow the drum to lock in and results in smashing that top bullet. So before loading it lay down on its backside where the feed tower is facing upwards. I would recommend this to anyways and I actually logged on to get me another one but they all sold out already so I guess I will have to wait almost a month to get another one. Oh yea they are shipping them fast I ordered mine on the 3-3 and it arrived 3-7.
Awesome accessory for your 15-22!!!

I have to say this is an awesome mag right out of the box.
I wanted to try a few different types of ammo.
First I fed it federal 36 grain. It loaded easy and I fired all 50 round with out one FTF!
Next was the CCI Tactical. It didn't like this as much. The wax coating kind of made the rounds difficult to load and I had several FTF...more like 10 or 12. I'd have to give it a few love taps to get it to feed then it was good for five rounds before the next FTF.
Last was the Winchester 15-22 Tactical. It loaded easy and every single round fired without out on FTF!
I wanted to try one before I committed to buying more. I'm sold!
A Drum that actually works

Purchased two of these for M&P 15-22. Have run close to a thousand rounds through each without a single failure to chamber, so far flawless performance.
